SENIOR STARTUP ENGINEER II

Basic Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Lockout / Tagout coordinator

Prior operating plant experience

3 – 5 years experience on an LNG Project

Right to work in the US

Preferred:

Prior precommissioning, commissioning and startup experience.

Prior CoP Liquefaction plant startup experience.

Understands detailed phases of startup, operations, or maintenance for a project. Capable of reviewing plant operability, jobsite pre-commissioning and startup activities as it affects safety. Performs work that involves conventional operational practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting requirements, unsuitability of conventional methods, or difficult coordination requirements.

Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of operations and startup techniques. Devises new approaches to operations problems.
Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry.

Position Duties/Responsibilities (This section describes in more detail the functions of this specific position. Indicate any skills not available in the SAP Skills Catalog along with the appropriate proficiency levels)

Assigned as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Coordinator, responsible for administering the Lock Out Tag Out program. Has technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating LOTO activities. This includes the ability to determine that a requested Lock Out/Tag Out will provide a safe working enviorment for the requestor personnel performing work within the booundry of the clearance.

Will provide coordination between Startup System Specialists, Operations personnel and Personnel working under the LOTO program as required
Work hours as required. This includes working all shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as the need arises.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of ten years experience related to startup of a facility and equipment operations or other relevant experience such as construction, field engineering, or operations in industrial, process or utility engineering or construction.
Minimum of Five years experience in a plant Operations role at a facility, one of which pertains to the administration of the LOTO program.

Ability to work effectively with owners staff, construction supervisors and Foreman, project management, startup staff, off site entities (i.e., utility personnel, truck drivers, regulatory agencies, etc.)
Good oral and written communications skills.

Position is at CCL jobsite. Site is in Gregory, TX.

Assignment to begin in early February 2018 and is estimated to be 18 months.
