Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):

Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage, supervise and consolidate the technical and documentary information of the systems during the pre-commissioning stages, ensuring the correct traceability and closing of the delivery packages (TOP) on the SmartCompletion platform. His role is key to ensure the integrity, quality and operability of the system before its transfer to the client. Must maintain a fluid communication with the discipline teams, document control, discipline leaders and leadership in the pre-commissioning. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, preparing and keeping updated documentation of the delivery packages of the subsystems.
  • Reviewing and keeping updated the battery limits of the subsystems in coordination with the leaders of each discipline.
  • Coordinating and participating in the completion and delivery walks (Blue Tag) carried out with the client and carry out the loading of the points observed in the system (Smart Completions).
  • Assigning the mechanical, electrical, Instrumentation and Control tests according to the matrices delivered by the area leaders in the system (Smart Completions) and inform the Pre-Commissioning test engineers about the progress.
  • Training and providing support to the users of Smart Completions, ensure compliance with the rules and procedures of the project and company.
  • Providing periodic reports on the progress of the transfer of the delivery packages to the customer. Reviewing and follow up on the observations of the Construction and Engineering transfer packages towards Pre-Commissioning until their approval.
  • Managing and keeping updated the SmartCompletion system, ensuring the correct linking of protocols, records and certificates by discipline and system.
  • Resolving incidents or inconsistencies in the system database, ensuring that the equipment can operate continuously and without errors.
  • Providing technical support to the pre-commissioning team in the loading, updating and monitoring of the systems in SmartCompletion.
  • Coordinating with discipline leaders to ensure that pre-commissioning milestones are aligned with TOP's progress.
  • Participating in progress control meetings, punch list monitoring and documentary quality assurance.
  • Ensuring compliance with the delivery control procedures and safety standards established by the project. Generating reports on the progress status of the systems and TOPs, including closing indicators and critical slopes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires university degree in Engineering or Administration, or technical training in administrative or related specialties and minimum 5 years of professional experience and at least 1 year of experience in document management and database management or 5 years of project handover delivery experience from the Construction stage to the final delivery to the client.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in the use and administration of documentation management.
  • Technical leadership and detail orientation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • High commitment to quality, safety and delivery times.
  • Proactivity to solve problems and ensure the operability of the system.Desirable with knowledge of project completion softwares: Smart Completion, Teamworks, Setroute and Aconex or other documentation management platforms.
  • With computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience in management, control and monitoring of technical documentation traceability of systems, preferably with knowledge in quality management.
  • Interpretation of drawings, P&IDs, one-line diagrams and instrument lists.
  • Preferably with knowledge of the English language (Minimum Basic Level).
