Project Overview:

Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):

Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide support to employees, HR groups, and managers by handling a variety of HR-related transactions, streamlining processes, improving efficiency, managing data, and ensuring seamless operations. You will be a central resource that empowers HR to focus on initiatives that will drive organizational success at Bechtel.  

Major Responsibilities:

  • Updating and maintaining the physical and digital files of the staff. Verifying the integrity of entry documentation (contracts, attachments, files, certificates). Ensuring the organization, confidentiality and traceability of documents.
  • Receiving, registering, digitizing and archiving contracts and renewals.
  • Consolidating and archiving documentation of vacations, permits and licenses. Keeping the staff's documentary control up to date.
  • Supporting the validation and follow-up of applications with supervisors and payroll.
  • Receiving, validating and recording medical breaks. Maintain updated file and control of associated days.
  • Coordinating the sending of information to the corresponding areas.
  • Managing the administrative closure of workers, including: Low in SUNAT, term of assignment letter, medical exam withdrawal letter, insurance low (EPS, Life Law or others).
  • Ensuring the complete closure of the employee's file.
  • Registering workers' policies in the Virtual System of Mandatory Registration of Contracts of the Life Insurance Law.
  • Managing the affiliation of new personnel to the EPS. Controlling inclusions, exclusions and insurance updates.
  • Sending latency communications for insurance continuity validation.
  • Coordinating with the Learning & Development team job transition programs. Consolidating and send monthly lists of workers.
  • Providing support in HR administrative processes.
  • Preparing reports and consolidated information.
  • Coordinating with internal areas (Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, supervisors) and external (insurance providers, regulatory entities).
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and established times.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires Technical or university degree in Administration, Human Resources or related and minimum 1-3 years in similar positions of administrative support or HR.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in document management and labor processes.
  • Specialization in Human Resources is desirable.
  • Experience in database management.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Ms Excel and Power BI.
