Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing logistics responsibilities of moderate complexity in support of project requirements to ensure safe, timely and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. This position will report to the Project Logistics Leader, as well as functionally reporting to Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating shipments with requisite internal and external entities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment from supplier’s delivery point to jobsite.
  • Ensuring timely entry of shipment milestone data into Bechtel Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system to provide visibility of line item shipment status.
  • Assisting with filing and resolution of LSP claims and assisting with preparation of logistics studies including site and LSP facility visits and
  • Integrating safety requirements and measuring in all Logistics activities.
  • Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing Procurement work within a discipline on projects.
  • Coordinating and interfacing with the day-to-day work of project team members and discipline groups.
  • Accumulating and maintaining data for reporting of group metrics.
  • Performing due diligence surveys as requested and assisting the project Logistics Supervisor as requested.
  • Providing on-the-job training to Procurement specialists as required.
  • Following Bechtel and Supply Chain instructions, policies, and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree related to the position, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Bechtel logistics procedures (Supply Chain School), BGL corporate agreements and OTM system.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with government regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel standard office technology software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and Internet/Intranet navigation.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel cargo insurance requirements, industry packaging, marking and shipping requirements, import and export formalities and processes.
  • Knowledge of national and international commercial and delivery terms, Incoterms®.
