Project Overview:
Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):
Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.
Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for carrying out psychodiagnostic evaluations and proactive management of psychosocial risk management, promoting resilience, designing controls to reduce the presence of symptomatology in mental health, in constructive processes. Supervise and guide the correct implementation of the mental health program, determine strategies that allow compliance with the KPIs of the mental health program.
Major Responsibilities:
- Carrying out psychodiagnostic evaluations, being responsible for carrying out evaluations to feed back the mental health risk matrix and generate preventive controls.
- Designing controls to reduce symptoms in mental health, for which purpose it will develop strategies to reduce the probability of risk behaviors and the manifestation of mental health pathologies in the workplace.
- Determining strategies for the fulfillment of the KPIs of the mental health program, for this, you must establish key objectives and ensure their alignment with the vision of the organization, thus contributing to the fulfillment of the key performance indicators of the program.
- Preparing action plans to improve the work environment, having to develop strategies at the group and team level that favor the work environment, ensuring the well-being of the members of the organization and improving interpersonal relationships.
- Ensuring timely interventions or controls in mental health, identifying the main progress and needs of the program.
- Permanently feedback the mental health program, through the lifting of gaps, alerts or opportunities for improvement.
- Carrying out statistical analyses on mental health, and to ensure its dissemination to the different strategic groups and stakeholders.
- Supervising and guide the correct implementation of the mental health program.
- Identifying needs and/or opportunities for improvement, as well as incorporate main lessons learned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a degree in Psychology or Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in mental health wellness programs or people-based safety in mining projects.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in clinical and organizational care.
- Must have knowledge in psychodiagnostic evaluations and organizational well-being.
- Main competencies in conflict resolution and leadership skills.
- Experience in implementing people-based safety programs in mining projects.
- Experience in the implementation of mental health wellness programs in mining projects.
- Experience in the implementation of employee welfare programs and leadership attributes for management or supervision.
