Project Overview:
Lithium Nevada Corporation’s (LNC) proposed Thacker Pass Project (Project) is intended to become a premier lithium mining and processing operation in the United States. The Project will consist of an open pit mine and related process facilities. The processing plant is proposed to be developed in two phases, with the first phase treating an average of 40,000 mtpa of battery grade lithium carbonate per annum during the first 3.5 years of production. Additional equipment and infrastructure will be installed as part of the second phase to increase production to 80,000 mtpa of LCE end products.
The Project is located approximately 20 miles west-northwest of Orovada, 62 miles north-northwest of Winnemucca, and approximately 20 miles south of the Oregon border, in the north-central portion of Humboldt County, Nevada. Primary access to the Project will be provided via Nevada State Route 293 (SR-293) from US Highway 95 (US-95).
The mine project site is located north of SR 293 at Thacker Pass and is situated between Kings River Valley to the west, the Quinn River Valley to the east, the Montana Mountains to the north, and the Double H Mountains to the south. The area is located approximately 4,200 to 5,650 feet above mean sea level (AMSL).
Job Summary:
- The Mobilizing Onboarding officer will support the Mobilization Coordinator in the receipt and processing of employee documentation required to mobilize to the project.
- The roll will include close liaison with Bechtel's Training, Accommodation and Transportation groups all located within Winnemicca and the jobsite. #LI-NP1
Major Responsibilities:
- Receipt, verification and processing of new hire documentation
- Scheduling of training, booking accommodation
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience as HR administration
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Previous working experience within a Construction or Engineering company in an HR or Labor Relations Administrative role responsible for processing and onboarding new hire employees.
- Well developed verbal and written communication skill
- Well developed computer skills in MS suite (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Ability to implement new procedures as issued to broad audience
- Ability to train sub-contract administrators in project processes
- Ability to chair project meetings with sub-contractors
