Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Manager of Business Development for the region, based in London, with stakeholder identification and relationship management and market / prospect penetration, covering both government and commercial sector customers and multiple project delivery models; assisting with market research, competitor analysis, potential partners identification and engagement; and leading the tracking of procurement trends and legislative / regulatory changes, report writing and then assist in the development of presentations and proposals.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining personal relationships with appropriate middle and senior management executives in customer organizations and strategic teaming partners.
  • Keeping informed of customers' present and future plans for growth, projects, and programmatic and technical requirements;
  • Demonstrating through the use of personal knowledge, supplemented by other Bechtel personnel, how Bechtel can help meet the customers’ requirements and expectations;
  • Contributing to deal structuring, negotiating and closing;
  • Understanding customer requirements and driver, and helping the Manager of Business Development for the region develop capture and win strategies;
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of overall project execution strategies including considering project risk;
  • Maintaining an active profile in the market including with potential partners, subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Maintaining an awareness of competitors’ strategy, pricing trends and approaches;
  • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of proposals, including tracking budgets;
  • Assisting in identifying possible future business opportunities; and
  • Assisting in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of Polish national staff as required.

Basic Qualifications (Grade 26)

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and a significant amount of related work experience. 
  • 10 years related experience in the public infrastructure industry with EPC experience and, ideally, project management or similar experience
  • Speaks Polish
  • Knowledge of and experience in the Polish engineering and construction market

Advanced Qualifications (Grade 27)

In addition to the Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or another Post-Graduate degree
  • Systems and software experience as follows:
    • BIM
    • Revit
    • Geomatic Survey
    • LiDAR
    • Microstation or similar
    • Quality Control
    • Six Sigma
  • Experience in the leadership, management and supervision of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry, particularly in the aviation and/or rail market sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize resources.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability in making presentations to customers and management.

Other Position Clarifications:

  • May require selected candidate to start in the UK and transition to Poland in due course, both on local conditions applicable to respective locations.
