Bechtel helps clients deliver projects of purpose that create a lasting positive legacy globally. These projects create jobs and grow economies; improve the resiliency of the world's infrastructure; connect communities to resources and opportunities; get us closer to net zero; tackle critical environmental challenges to protect people and the planet; and accelerate progress to make the world a cleaner, greener, safer place.
We are currently recruiting for long term career professionals, with an initial assignment supporting our Sellafield Pile Fuel Cladding Silo (PFCS) project. Known as one of the four most hazardous buildings in Western Europe, the Sellafield Pile Fuel Cladding Silo was commissioned in 1952 to safely store radioactive cladding – pieces of metal tubes used for uranium fuel rods in some of the UK’s earliest nuclear reactors. The UK government has partnered with Bechtel Cavendish Nuclear Solutions to deliver a system that will allow our client Sellafield to retrieve the decades-old waste, package it safely, and dispose of it permanently. Our highly collaborative relationship with our client and JV partner has led to significant project success, with the first two stages of the program, which successfully readied the plant to begin retrieving waste.
To achieve this goal individuals from Bechtel bring their experience and expertise to the role while working within the client’s organisation as part of an integrated team. We commit to supporting the client’s goals while promoting our values of fairness, diversity, inclusion, trust and collaboration guided by our Vision, Values and Covenants.
