Project Overview:

Bechtel Renewables team is to deliver the project management, engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and testing services for a utility-scale PV solar project, located near the town of Tivoli in Refugio County, Texas. When completed, the project will span more than 3400 acres and generate up to 495 MWdc of power from approximately 850,000 highly efficient bifacial solar modules.

 

Job Summary:

This position will be situated on project site and report to site Industrial Relations lead. #LI-TH1 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Track and Deliver verifications of competency to qualify equipment operators to assigned equipment.
  • Assist in delivery and followup of apprentice training requirements.
  • Assist in delivery of new hire orientations
  • Maintain harmonious relations with apprentice population, identifying cares and concerns that need to be addressed.
  • Assist recruiting in identifying sources that can provide qualified apprentice candidates.
  • Assist with delivery of craft professional surveys
  • Help maintain the RAPIDS apprentice data base 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience as a craft professional is preferred.
  • Prior Industrial Relations experience preferred.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • NCCER instructor training is a plus
  • Must be well versed in MS office suite
