Project Overview:
Bechtel’s focus on renewables and clean energy is helping our customers deliver transformational renewables and clean energy projects. Bechtel renewables team will perform the project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup for the Mammoth South, Central I and Central II project for a 376MW DC each (Total of 1.1GW DC) solar plant in Pulaski County, Indiana.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. #LI-NP1
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
- Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
- Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
- Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
- Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Construction and/or scheduling experience involving both subcontracted and direct-hire construction labor.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel
- Experience and demonstrated skill in project cost and schedule analysis. Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities.
- Experience working with or directly supporting a project development organization.
- Strong multi-tasking, as work is performed across a portfolio of projects simultaneously and has significant interaction with stakeholders, subcontractors, OEMs, and vendors as needed.
- Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated skill in presenting scheduling information to management/clients.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
