Project Overview:

TROJENA (The Mountains of NEOM) will be an iconic, world-class destination, blending natural and developed landscapes and will offer unique experiences for residents and visitors alike. Located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia in the region of Tabuk just 50km from the coast, TROJENA will be a destination like no other on earth. Based upon the principles of eco-tourism facilities will include a folded vertical village, a lake with water sports and event facilities, high altitude ski village, observatory, world leading health and wellbeing facilities and a nature reserve which will be home to unique wildlife, heritage sites and exploration opportunities. With over 3,600 hotel, 2,200 homes, 9 iconic buildings and 100 world class indoor and outdoor experiences Trojena will become the ultimate mountain destination. Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and driving the contract formation, supplier selection, contractor mobilization and work completion of iconic and architecturally significant residential buildings scope. Bechtel is the Project Management Consultant managing the contractors performing the work. The role will span from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, occupancy and contract close-out.

Major Responsibilities:

Manages the team that has the responsibility for project oversight and compliance of designers and contractors, ensuring works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards and local/national regulatory safety codes

Oversee performance of the designers and installation contractors, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems

Lead and coordinate at executive level with designers contractors, engineers, client, and other stakeholders involved in foundation works and superstructure installation

Leads input to ensure continuous construction work fronts availability through review of look ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules and any other service requirements including contractor submittals

Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the specific work at site. Verifies compliance with Permit and License requirements and stipulations

Responsible for a multi-functional team who will be reviewing and approving the design consultants and contractor's submittals, schedule acceptance, technical queries, Field change documents and other submittal documents including Drawings and As-Builts

Ensure all materials and equipment on the site fully comply with international standard and technical specification requirements

Ensure the closure of project is systematic and complete in all respects

Maintains an effective relationship with client, stakeholders and other functional departments and coordinates all jobsite contractual activities

Coordinates and monitors interfaces with other contractors, lead the review meetings

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum 20 years of experience in construction industry

A recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or construction

Minimum 15 Years of experience in progressively senior positions on high end or signature residential scope projects

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Thorough knowledge of contract formation and execution management

Thorough knowledge of major project management requirements and safety procedures and practices associated with the construction works

Experience in performance management and improvement of distressed projects or contracts

Preferred experience in the following: Major construction works of residential facilities

Multi campus building complexes, such a resort or residential complex

Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor’s staff and field engineers
