Project Overview:

TROJENA (The Mountains of NEOM) will be an iconic, world-class destination, blending natural and developed landscapes and will offer unique experiences for residents and visitors alike. Located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia in the region of Tabuk just 50km from the coast, TROJENA will be a destination like no other on earth. Based upon the principles of eco-tourism facilities will include a folded vertical village, a lake with water sports and event facilities, high altitude ski village, observatory, world leading health and wellbeing facilities and a nature reserve which will be home to unique wildlife, heritage sites and exploration opportunities. With over 3,600 hotel rooms, 2,200 homes, 9 iconic buildings and 100 world class indoor and outdoor experiences Trojena will become the ultimate mountain destination. Job Summary:

Administers moderately complex to complex contracts and agreements. Maintains a continuous review of the progress of each contract and or agreement and provides management with information regarding any commercial difficulties. Prepares correspondence, trackers, minutes, presentations, variation orders, and amendments, in addition to other necessary documents and gains management approval on the same. Additionally, performs other duties as assigned.  #LI-AR2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities as required to support the project and achieve milestones whilst seeking and receiving guidance from lead and or management.
  • Monitors and ensures lead and or management is aware of change events, claims, and disputes; proposes resolution of the same fairly; coordinating with lead and or management.
  • Awareness of commercial matters, makes resolution recommendations, and collaborates with lead and or management to define strategy and actions.
  • Team player able to receive guidance and feedback.
  • Receives guidance from managers and leads.

Pre-Award

  • In accordance with procedures, provides input to and prepares supporting tender documents through the process from beginning to end; forming and issuing tender packages, tracking and closing queries.
  • Prepares and organizes meetings and workshops.
  • Prepares contract documents for execution with Customer’s team.
  • Prepares and maintains control and status reporting documents.

Post-Award

  • The implementation of Contract & Commercial Management Procedures for the administration of the Contract.
  • The review of Contract general terms and conditions to identify and monitor areas of risk, ambiguities, conflicts or deviations from the scope of work and the actions required.
  • The development and management of appropriate mechanisms to monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Identification and recommendation of resolution of Contract claims as they develop.
  • Obtaining all contract deliverables for timely work handover and close-out of contracts.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial and or Contracts Management.
  • Effective English written and oral communication skills.
  • Awareness of law, negotiations, or cost engineering.
  • Developed business writing skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Organized in documenting and record keeping.
  • Adaptability to differing environments.
  • Competency in MS Office suite.
  • Flexibility in adjusting to workload and priorities.
     

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate knowledge of contracting regulations, policies, and practices.
  • Specialized courses or experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations, and accounting.
  • Experience Middle East / Saudi Arabia.
  • Arabic Language.
  • Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law or Engineering.
  • Contract formation and or claims experience.
  • Ability to draft and or revise T&Cs.
  • Experience in lump sum, unit price and cost-plus type contracts.
  • Experience in construction, design, services, and O&M forms of contracts.
  • Presentation skills
  • Comfortable interacting in a multi-national team environment.
  • Prepares post-award reports, presentations and other programmatic documents in support of NEOM’s vision.
