Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to recruit high quality project delivery professionals in Engineering, Construction, Project Controls and related disciplines to join our team in Canada.

Bechtel is currently growing our team working on a variety of new transportation and infrastructure projects in the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario, Canada.  Candidates are currently being sought in both Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario.   

 

Job Summary:

The Digital Delivery Lead is responsible for developing and implementing standardized coding and classification systems to ensure systematic information management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain standardized coding and classification systems for information management across all digital platforms. 
  • Develop and enforce standardized processes for digital delivery to ensure consistency across projects and functions. 
  • Work closely with BIM, GIS, Document Control, and other relevant teams to integrate data and create a unified digital environment. 
  • Manage Digital Twin and Asset Information Models: Oversee the development, implementation, and management of Digital Twin and Asset Information Models to enhance project delivery and asset management. 
  • Utilize digital tools and techniques to improve construction visualization, aiding in project planning, coordination, and communication. 
  • Integrate sustainability principles using digital delivery tools/processes, including the management of data related to sustainable design and construction practices. 
  • Develop and implement methods for calculating and reporting carbon emissions related to construction activities, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals. 
  • Facilitate the integration and correlation of data across various digital tools to gain insights and support decision-making processes. 
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders to ensure proper use of digital delivery tools and adherence to standardized processes. 
  • Continuously assess digital delivery practices, identifying opportunities for optimization and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client requirements. 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 12+ plus years’ experience in delivering large complex AEC projects, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in BIM, GIS and innovation implementation 
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in delivering rail projects. 

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  •  Knowledge and experience in BIM, GIS and digital solutions as it relates to design management, construction management work processes and tools, while learning and understanding client environment and unique requirements. 
  • Experience in supporting the tender process from conceptual design to RFP, bid evaluation, selection, negotiation, and execution. 
  • Previous experience in configuration of the Common Data Environment (CDE), developing project BIM templates, standards & classification system, class libraries and master data model on large scale projects. 
  • Experience in developing data management execution strategies and configuration control. 
  • Experience with dashboard definition, creation and deployment using PowerBI. 
  • Experience in working closely with senior Client staff and project cross-functional team, design consultant and contractors.
