Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team, manage tools and consumable operations for a large, complex project, and provide strategic planning to optimize tool use. You will supervise and develop the program, including equipment plans, cost estimates, operating budgets, procurement support, and training. Your technical guidance will ensure project construction teams are supported with safe and optimal tools. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
- On medium sized projects, manages Tools & Consumable operations, develops equipment plans, cost estimates, and operating budgets for domestic and international medium projects. Works with projects and GBU management to provide strategic planning for optimal Tools & Consumable utilization.
- Provides technical consultation support input and support for Work Process Procedure (WPP) development, lessons learned review and construction best practice identification when requested.
- Performs Tools & Consumable functions of project site or home office services, supervises/manages and develops the program, including assisting procurement and supply support, receipt, storage and issue of project tools and consumables, to ensure tools and scaffold quantities and pricing are available and meet needs.
- Assists with training and improvements needed to directly the support construction and estimating teams as well as auditing the implementation for all sites as needed.
- Supervises the administration and availability of Tools & Consumable usage (utilization). Directs and controls the repairs and maintenance of Tools & consumable and ensures maintenance of service documents are up to standards.
- Reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule and coordinates the interfacing between the construction and the Project Controls program at the jobsite.
- Directs preparation of quantity listings of field purchased Tools & Consumable
- Determines that vendors' bids for material and/or equipment are in conformance to specifications.
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management.
- Monitors and ensures blanket tool and consumable supply requirements and supports procurement related requests as required for maintenance and updates.
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Good oral and written communication.
- Strong automation skills, ability to learn new applications quickly.
- Proficient in organizing tasks for completion by an agreed deadline.
- Knowledge of small tool and consumable program operations and management.
- Knowledge of material handling/warehousing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of small tools, consumables, rigging and safety materials commonly utilized during construction.
