Project Overview:

Bechtel, a global leader in project management, engineering, procurement and construction, has been selected by WSA Co as its Delivery Partner for the Western Sydney Airport, a $5.3 billion greenfield facility in Badgerys Creek, New South Wales. This will be a landmark project for both New South Wales and Australia, and is due for completion at the end of 2026.


Western Sydney Airport will provide much-needed additional aviation capacity to meet growing demand in the Sydney basin and improve access to flights for people in Western Sydney. One of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects in decades, the international and domestic airport will open in 2026, bringing social and economic prosperity to the Western Sydney region. The Reporting Coordinator is responsible for independently coordinating and consolidating cost and schedule inputs into various Project Management level reports that will be used by the Project team and the Client to monitor project performance. Will provide day-to-day support to the Project Controls Manager and other Project Managers as needed.


Location: Badgerys Creek, south west Sydney. 


Job Dimensions:

  • Reports to and receives technical guidance and operational supervision from the Deputy Project Controls Manager.


About the role:

  • Preparing Executive presentations
  • Preparation and administration of dashboards
  • Preparation of staff meeting packages
  • Recording of minutes/actions from meetings
  • Coordinating and consolidating input for monthly and weekly reports
  • Preparation of Board Papers
  • Additional responsibilities may include administration of cost and schedule reporting systems.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Construction required
  • 3+ years working experience collecting and preparing reports
  • Undertake research and gather information from sources on project/home office/corporate for various reports
  • Mst be a self-starter capable of working complex tasks through to completion with limited direction
  • Knowledge in the use of computers for executing work processes, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite of software
  • Expert use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Some knowledge of Power BI desirable
  • Experience with EcoSys reporting an advantage
  • Must have excellent communications skills and be comfortable working with senior management as well as client representatives
  • Commitment to quality of deliverable is an imperative
  • Must have the right to work and remain in Australia without visa sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Construction experience desirable
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Basic level of proficiency with Power BI
