Project Overview:

Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO), a wholly owned Bechtel affiliate company, functions as the construction equipment asset manager of Bechtel Group and is actively engaged in projects across all business lines. In support of its involvement, BEO uses sophisticated estimating and scheduling systems to assist projects in developing bis proposals, equipment lease versus purchase analysis, tool and consumable utilization forecasts, scaffold estimating and supply, and overall construction fleet utilization plans. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, BEO also manages several permanent global equipment storage and support facilities


Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide on-site project support and technical consultation to understand daily equipment challenges. You will perform audits, assist with product training, initiate requisitions for field purchases, and review cost estimates, vendor bids, and project controls documents. Your advice will help solve challenges to ensure that equipment quality, quantity, and safety requirements can be met.   #LI-TH1  

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for construction related to equipment activities. Roles within this group are equipment manager and BEO SME 

Planning 

• Provides technical consultation support to projects. 
• Liaisons with projects to understand the daily challenges related to equipment including, building techniques, optimizing product choice, and improving the software tools needed to track and manage construction sites regionally. 
• Performs project sites audits and support when needed and works directly with the manufacturer in support of any engineering needs or verification on loading and structural calculations or related specifications 
• Assists with the product training and improvements needed to directly support construction and estimating teams as well as auditing the implementation for all sites as needed.  
• Works cross functionally with BEO program managers and can cross over and support business items such as estimating, inventory, and program implementation as needed.  
• Assists in shaping the BEO business model and implement processes that maximize the use and choice of in support of our projects.  

Safety and Quality 

• Monitors and ensures that the quality of work performed meets requirements. 
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management. 
• Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
  

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Highly focused experience performing troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of SPMT equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of SPMT electrical and hydraulic system design and operation.
• Previous experience is planning, execution and project management of jobs performing heavy transport operations on industrial projects.
