Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and manage project cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and ensure work is completed as scheduled. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leads the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for an area within a project which requires a moderate degree of technical skilled experience 
  • Identifies cost trends for management attention 
  • Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges 
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled 
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

•    Ability to lead cross functional collaboration with a clear understanding of BEO execution, governance, and cost control processes. 
•    Strong command of cost and revenue structures and their application across project phases, execution strategies, and delivery models. 
•    Demonstrated leadership of cost engineering functions, including estimating, cost control, forecasting, and analysis, with experience in both field and home office environments. 
•    Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, defensible explanations that support management decision making. 
•    Experience supporting scope change and trend management to ensure timely visibility of cost, funding, and forecast impacts. 
•    Demonstrated ownership of forecast development, including review, challenge, and validation of inputs across disciplines. 
•    Solid understanding of unit rates, scope development, and earned value concepts consistent with BEO principles and practices. 
•    Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex cost and forecast information clearly to senior leadership and project stakeholders. 
•    Broad understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup workflows, with the ability to integrate cost considerations across the full project lifecycle
