Job Summary:

Bechtel Equipment Operations is seeking a qualified candidate to lead our concrete pump division. As the Concrete Pump Division Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and certification of concrete pump operators as well as setting up maintenance and spare parts programs across numerous jobsites and locations. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits that will require travel to project-based locations. #LI-TH1

 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Advanced knowledge of all safety regulations, including inspections, related to the operations of concrete pumps including DOT, OSHA and ACPA's safety standards.   
  • Comply with use of company specified personal protective equipment and implement BEO and Project safety requirements into the training and operation of concrete pumps.
  • Establish a maintenance program for the concrete pumps including recommended spare parts and training of site mechanics in proper repair and maintenanc.
  • Pre-trip inspections of equipment and safety devices
  • Jobsite evaluation of conditions and hazards.
  • Set-up and priming of the pump.
  • Operation and best practices of placing concrete with boom.
  • Cleanup and washout of concrete pump.
  • Best practices to keep pump clean.
  • Proper maintenance of the pump.
  • Establish maintenance intervals and procedures for site mechanics.
  • Establish spare parts and min/max requirements for project needs.
  • Coordinate with site supervision and management for planning of concrete pump requirements and number of units required to meet schedule.
  • Must be able to work jobsite hours and overtime as required to train and support Project needs.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of concrete pump operations. 10 years minimum experience
  • Advanced knowledge of concrete pump maintenance and maintenance programs. 10 years minimum experience.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have a clean driving record and possess a valid CDL.
  • ACPA Certified Concrete Pump Operator
  • ACPA Certified Pump Trainer
  • Able to utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software to communicate and develop documents necessary for works.
  • Understanding of concrete placement and the properties of concrete.
  • Access elevated pour locations to assist in the proper set up and break down hoses and pipes.
  • Operating truck-mounted concrete boom pumps and related equipment/tools including line pumps.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:  

  • Must be able to lift to 75 pounds to overhead position.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions common to the jobsite location.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including at heights and in confined spaces.
