  • Support projects by filling temporary Rigging Superintendent or Manager roles when needed. Provide in-person support during early project mobilization, including review of rigging execution plans, mobilization readiness, equipment, and craft qualification programs.
  • Conduct site reviews of crane and rigging operations to identify gaps against Bechtel standards and support corrective actions through to closure. Coordinate with subcontractors on specialized lifting and transport activities, including review of lift plans, method statements, and qualification documentation.

  • Provide input on staffing decisions, performance reviews, and development of training curricula, qualification frameworks, and craft competency programs. Recommend improvements to policies and procedures impacting the rigging organization and broader community of practice.

Industry Involvement

  • Engage with industry associations and regulatory bodies to promote safer rigging practices. Stay informed on advancements in lifting equipment, rigging systems, and transport solutions to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Represent Bechtel on industry committees and working groups (e.g., ASME B30, WSTDA, NCCCO, AWRF), as assigned.
