Project Overview:

Job Summary:
The Senior Site Technical Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and master planners to develop a holistic development plan for an enabling AI customer. This role is pivotal in defining and advancing technical details that support a master plan, including power, compute, and infrastructure requirements. The incumbent will navigate ambiguity, integrate cross-functional inputs, and ensure alignment with customer objectives and Bechtel’s strategic priorities.

Major Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and refine technical strategies to support AI-driven infrastructure projects, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Master Plan Advancement: Translate conceptual master plans into actionable technical requirements for power, compute, and supporting infrastructure.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage and mentor engineers and master planners, fostering collaboration across engineering, operations, procurement, and construction teams.
- Technical Integration: Ensure seamless integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, and digital systems into the overall site development plan.
- Risk Management: Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project schedule and budget integrity.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and best practices in technical planning and execution.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.Minimum 20 years of experience in engineering, operations, and project management within large-scale infrastructure or technology projects.Proven track record in managing complex, multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects under challenging conditions.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Deep understanding of infrastructure planning, power systems, and compute requirements for advanced technology facilities.
- Expertise in project management methodologies, financial analysis, and operational planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to manage ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in AI or high-performance computing environments.Familiarity with emerging technologies and their impact on infrastructure design.Business development acumen to support customer engagement and proposal development.Advanced proficiency in digital tools for planning and design integration.
