NEOM Project Summary: 

Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”    

NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of EgyptIsrael and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.”  

NEOM will be the home and workplace to more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations. As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders and companies will come to research, incubate and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways. 

 

SUMMARY:

  • Produces and/or coordinates production of a variety of graphics products using a combination of methods, techniques, materials, and processes. 
  • Plans, staffs, coordinates, and monitors work to ensure overall graphics support. 
  • Orients, trains, and directs graphics staff. 
  • Manages costs and schedules. 
  • Implements work process improvements and maintains standards of operation.

  

Essential Requirements:

  • Produces and/or coordinates the production of a variety of graphics products using a combination of methods, techniques (manual and/or computerized or using specialized equipment), and processes.
  • Advises customer on alternative processes, techniques, and materials as the assignment develops.
  • Establishes priorities and monitors tasks to ensure conformance with established standards, procedures, and customer expectations.
  • Reviews printer proofs with supervisor, customer, and/or printing coordinator to obtain final approval.
  • Uses organizational skills to prioritize job elements, maintain time schedules, ensure cost effectiveness, and ensure the availability of materials needed to complete tasks.
  • Coordinates schedules between support groups (or outside vendors) such as publications and reprographics.
  • Provides customer cost estimates and is responsible for tracking all job-related data or performance metrics.
  • Makes recommendations with regard to in-house versus outsourcing of work.
  • Maintains electronic files on various software as well as original artwork according to established procedures.
  • Works with all art materials and media.
  • Evaluates existing techniques with regard to advances in technology; implements improvements in operations.
  • Responsible for personnel activities and administration.
  • Develops and monitors operating budget.
  • Maintains contact with industry and Bechtel counterparts in regard to work processes, technologies, services, and costs.

 

Job Knowledge:

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in graphics layout, design, and mechanical techniques and concepts
  • Proficiency in design and graphics software programs
  • Experience in working with a wide variety of art materials and media
  • Experience in estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Thorough understanding of production methods and techniques, typography, calligraphy, theory of design and color, illustration techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of reproduction processes
  • Thorough knowledge of multimedia presentation processes
  • Understanding of Bechtel’s Graphics Style Guide and Standards Manual

 

Addendum:

Grade 26

Acts in a supervisory role; responsible for establishing and maintaining budget and standards in graphics support; plans, staffs, and coordinates all graphic support.

Grade 25

Acts in a specialist role; assists supervisor in establishing budget, setting standards, assigning work, and providing guidance to other graphics personnel.

 

Assignment Location:  

Living and working on the NEOM Project is a single status assignment condition located in Sharma, KSA with camp accommodation (Meals and Laundry Services provided). Rotational Leave is 2 weeks off after 8 weeks worked with provided allowances for airfare and enroute expenses.
