Project Overview:
Bechtel is pursuing a significant new award of work in Egypt. The Project will cover the development of luxurious residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, tourism amenities, and economic zones. If successful, Bechtel’s contract for the delivery of this project will be for project management and construction management services.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist with coordinating security programs, physical security services, and emergency planning to support the protection of Bechtel projects or jobsites. Under the guidance of senior security leadership, you will contribute to the development and implementation of security procedures, emergency response plans, proposals, studies, and surveys. You will help monitor day-to-day security operations, support compliance with local regulations and corporate standards, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of security measures.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of security awareness training, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with contractors and local authorities. You will also participate in incident reporting and investigations, and provide recommendations for improvements and corrective actions that enhance the safety and security posture of Bechtel operations.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders. Your contributions will play a key role in maintaining a secure and compliant work environment across project sites.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs duties in support of Corporate Security programs
- Monitors live media outlets/websites and contract information for up to the minute information on world events and reports activities and events of concern to Corporate Security managers
- Operates Bechtel's travel security program, tracking business travel of Bechtel employees to ensure their safety
- Produces daily and specialized reports for senior managers
- Assists in developing and providing security master plans, security portion of proposals, security studies and surveys as requested
- Provides relevant technical security information, standards and regulatory requirements to personnel in assigned areas
- May assist Corporate Security Managers and Incident Management Teams during emergencies by disseminating and processing information
- May be assigned multiple special projects to work on independently, such as developing content and updating security website projects that require more experience with risk analysis
- Assists in the training of assigned security staff
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Foundational Security and Emergency Planning Knowledge
Understanding of physical security operations, emergency procedures, and incident response protocols.
Ability to assist in developing security master plans, proposals, and surveys. - Technical Proficiency in Monitoring and Reporting Tools
Familiarity with travel tracking systems, media monitoring platforms, and incident management tools.
Competence in generating daily and specialized reports for senior management.
Familiar with MS office and PC - Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing stakeholders, processing incident information, and supporting training initiatives. - Regulatory and Compliance Awareness
Basic knowledge of local and international security standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to provide technical guidance and ensure compliance across assigned areas. - Language Skills and Cultural Awareness
Fluency in Arabic (reading and writing) is required.
Basic proficiency in English is an advantage
