Project Overview:
Bechtel is pursuing a significant new award of work in Egypt. The Project will cover the development of luxurious residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, tourism amenities, and economic zones. If successful, Bechtel’s contract for the delivery of this project will be for project management and construction management services.
Job Summary:
- May act as a Digital Delivery Manager and manages cross-functional automation teams providing the Construction organization with all EPC automation services
- Participate in cross-functional engagement with Corporate and Global Business Units functional teams to support development of automation policies and procedures related to construction
- Manages global construction automation initiatives and evaluation of new programs and processes
- Responsible for estimates for software development and maintenance activities
- Delivers automation to jobsite in conformance with Project Construction Automation Plan
- Manages site automation assessments
- Responsible for estimates for software development, maintenance and deployment
- Manages the assignment and development activities of the programmers in support of BSAPs
- Champions opportunities for new or improved work processes
- Ensures software development and documentation is adequate and compliant with functional and I&D procedures
- Provides technical and administrative direction to several User Product Managers
- Oversees and provides guidance for deployment of craft HR and Payroll systems at jobsite
- Provides periodic updates and status to the Corporate Manager of Digital Delivery
- Provides guidance on development and maintenance digital delivery websites and online content
Major Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of leading a department within large infrastructure projects, from a Contractor or a Project Management consultant perspective.
- Experience of automation or process improvement in a construction environment
- Understanding of BIM, GIS and modern construction methodologies
- Experience in Middle east / GCC is a requirement.
- Knowledge of Bechtel organization, policies, procedures, and programs including QA and Safety, particularly as they relate to infrastructure development.
- Knowledge and understanding of Bechtel standard tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in Project Execution Plan development and implementation.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
- Strong leadership, communication and writing skills.
