Position Summary

Bechtel is seeking a Workforce Services Technical Support Representative for the Mining & Metals team, based in Chile. The position will be responsible for performing a variety of Workforce Services support activities to Corporate and Project Management, including systems management and processes reviews.



The Workforce Services Technical Support Representative is principally responsible for:

  • The Workforce Services Technical Support Representative is principally responsible for: 

  • Proactively supporting the implementation of Bechtel Workforce Services systems in Latin America. 

  • Management, monitoring, solving questions and requests to systems users related to Applicant Tracking System or another system in which support is required. 

  • Data maintenance for updating systems as required (Templates, Flowcharts, Databases, others) 

  • Gaining an understanding of the role of Workforce Services on a Project, including recruitment and selection, payroll, training, performance recognition, camp and dining facilities management. 

  • Conducting periodic Project Workforce Services audits to ensure consistent application of Functional, Project Procedures and supports Labor Relations in compliance with established labor agreements as applicable 

  • Collect, assemble, and analyze data or information for Workforce Services and Business Reports. Maintenance of industrial relations statistics and logs for Projects. 

  • Other tasks as designated by the Workforce Services Systems and Processes Supervisor. 


Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

The Workforce Services Technical Support Representative shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in:

  • Associate bachelor’s degree or related technical training. Related experience to the field.


Additional Qualifications

  • Effective Communication Skills.

  • Customer Service.

  • Advanced English / Spanish level (Required and a portion of the interview will be done in English).

  • Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws and related legislation.

  • Basic knowledge of the organizational structure and work practices of labor unions.

  • Basic knowledge of Labor Relations organization policies and practices.

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment. 

  • Able to prioritize and perform multi-tasks.

  • Proficient in the Word and Excel.




Grade 22

Previous work experience in Labor Relations.  Gathers data for and prepares labor surveys.  Performs labor relations activities under moderate supervision in the field or in an office environment.

Grade 21

Basic understand and working knowledge of Labor Relations functions.  Performs labor relations activities under direct supervision in the field or in an office environment.
