Mining and Metals:

Job Summary:

In this role, Project Controls Lead EPC for Transformation team, you will lead a team to manage cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, forecasting, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires technical skill and expertise. You will provide leadership, oversight, guidance, training, and mentoring to your team on key project procedures and risk management to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

Major Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership in the administration of Project Controls activities such as input for weekly project action items list, maintains database, prepares reports, and provides additional supervision.
• Identifying restraints and effect on total project schedule.
• Coordinating the total integration of schedule activities.
• Identifying schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
• Monitoring and reporting critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
• Conducting project schedule analysis & studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
• Collecting and analyzing alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
• Coordinating cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
• Preparing specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Leading risk workshops, interviews & information gathering relating to risk identification, review, and update.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of project controls concepts.
• Ability to develop presentation level and analysis level schedules.
• Understanding of budgets and tracking costs.
• Ability to develop and update staffing plans.
• Aptitude to adopt artificial intelligence in their day-to-day tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill, with ability to easily communicate across regions.
• Strategic thinker.
• Strong coordinating skills and ability to influence business and operational needs.
• Advanced English
