Project Overview:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will support multiple projects by performing technical or commercial logistics work. You will be responsible for domestic and international multi-leg shipments with both internal and external entities, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. Your work will help ensure project requirements are satisfied in accordance with policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performing domestic and international multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
- Preparing logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements.
- Identifying transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers.
- Preparing Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents.
- Preparing logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical base of international logistics, foreign trade, national logistics and import/export procedures.
- Developed communication and organizational skills, multi-tasking. Ability to make decisions
- Previous operational experience with the logistics of industrial projects. Previous experience leading/supervising logistics area and/or team
- Ability with English language (not exclusive).
- Management of Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PPTs, other programs, and/or implementation systems.
