Project Overview:

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before. 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, coordinate and review plant design and piping work on large projects having specialized requirements. You will optimize facility layout based on diagrams, client needs, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements. Your technical input will ensure configuration compliance, procurement requirement are met.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performing work using Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs.
  • Participating in preparation of piping material requisitions, specifications and other related procurement documents.
  • Preparing technical bid evaluation and making award recommendations.
  • Preparing Technical specifications.
  • Performing pipe wall thickness and branch connections calculation.
  • Reviewing vendor prints of valves and Piping components.
  • Willingness to be flexible and capable of supporting Multiple Tasks.
  • Participating in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication.

Education and Experience Requirements:

​Requires bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge & application of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 codes.
  • Well- developed computer skills and knowledge with all the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of 3D computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools applied to engineering design.  
  • Intermediate English level (desirable).
