Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing GIS support across all areas of M&M projects, performing GIS work associated with digital delivery strategies, identifying and solving GIS related problems for a wide variety of functions including Hydrology, Geology, Environmental, Construction, Engineeringand in close collaboration with clients and project teams. This position requires an advanced level of proficiency and demonstrated experience in ESRI-based products including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and Esri AppsExperience using ArcGIS Pro is required and must have proficiency working with all geospatial data formats.

 

"This position is designated as part-time teleworking per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.” 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and solving GIS related problems, devising technical approaches and methodologies to solve these problems for a wide variety of functions including Hydrology, Geology, Environmental, Construction and Engineering. 
  • Creating GIS deliverables such as maps, alignment sheets, documents, among others. 
  • Supporting and participating in the designing and development of geospatial databases and efficiently managing geospatial databases for vector data, digital elevation models, point clouds, imagery, 3D models, and others. 
  • Creating and maintaining GIS Web services for multiple projects in various locations. 
  • Overseeing data flow, management, and distribution activities that are aimed at supporting GIS. 
  • Leading in the development and management of GIS applications that are based on growing and improving business demands in the engineering and construction industry. 
  • Developing and managing quality standards for system applications. 
  • Performing data capture and analysis for GIS products. 
  • Seeking input from and coordinating work tasks with other technical specialists, engineering disciplines, and project personnel, as needed and give support in the development of a work plan for complex projects and project bids. 
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate geospatial documentation for reference purposes and staying up to date or abreast of the latest developments in the GIS field, actively participates in technical excellence activities. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geoscience, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 
  • Requires a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with 7-9 years of experience as a GIS specialist, GIS Analyst, or a related field with demonstrated capabilities in GIS. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience using the Esri suite of products including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and Esri suite, including Survey 123, Collector, Field Worker.  
  • Advanced experience using ArcGIS Pro is required. 
  • Experience in developing web-based GIS applications. 
  • Experience integrating with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and SP3D, preferred. 
  • Experience with data modeling, data conversion and ETL Software such as FME is desired. 
  • Experience working with a variety of vector and raster datasets from public and private sources. 
  • Working knowledge of CAD and BIM software and methods and importing drawings and models into GIS. 
  • Familiarity in database management is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of cartographic standards, procedures, and practices. 
  • Knowledge of trends and standards of the GIS industry, and relevant local, state and country regulations. 
  • Proficiency working with all geospatial data formats.  
  • Strong ability to create innovative solutions for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry. 
  • Able to fluently communicate in English and in Spanish, both verbally and in written communications (high proficiency). Interviews will be conducted in English.
