Mining and metals:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. Job Summary:
The role will be responsible for document management governance and oversight, resource coordination and support for all South American studies and projects. When required, the role will be required to perform hands-on document processing work.
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and supporting document management teams across all regional studies and projects. Oversee and coordinate document management activities and governance practices that provide standardised processes across all studies and projects.
- Reviewing project staffing plans and existing resource workloads. Coordinate the assignment of resources and hiring of new personnel to meet growing demand both in project offices and at jobsites.
- Meeting regularly with the GBU DM Automation Lead to provide updates on process deviations, improvements, and project close-out actions.
- Gathering and reviewing monthly attribute audit reports from each study / project and identify required actions for improvement.
- Applying quality monitoring methods and processes to monitor and report data entry accuracy, developing metrics to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and prepare monthly progress reports as required for management teams.
- Participating in study / project functional reviews.
- Implementing standard document management workflow processes and provide broad guidance on standards, processes, best practices and data flows through to full customer turnover.
- Actively guiding consistency, compliance, and efficiency in managing all project records and improve or develop processes to address gaps.
- Managing a standardised Aconex environment for South America, including creation and migration Aconex lobby accounts.
- Leading the training, implementation, assessments and improvements associated with document management work processes within the region.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Role requires industry experience gained through a recognized certificate or degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialized courses in document management, Engineering or related fields with 8-10 years of experience, and / or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency and experience in managing project document management teams, utilising standard work processes, management of customer interfaces and timely, consistent lifecycle records management.
- Experience in the training and supervision of personnel.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Bechtel or EPC industry and regulatory standards for record keeping.
- Working knowledge of computer programs for records tracking, archival, retention, and storage.
- Familiarity with quality assurance programs and Documents, Records & Information Management (DRIM) requirements.
