SUMMARY

Responsible for gathering and compiling data essential to the administration of (sub)contracts.  Assists with implementation of (sub)contract administration procedures and coordinates or monitors the completion of administrative tasks.  Also monitors areas of (sub)contract performance as assigned.  Conducts investigations and inquiries into specific (sub)contract problems and may provide assistance in claims research.

  • Reports to and receives operational guidance from a (Sub)Contract Manager or (Sub)Contract Administrators.

  • May provide operational and/or functional direction to administrative/secretarial personnel as assigned.
  1. Contacts
  • Project personnel who have been assigned (sub)contract management tasks in accordance with the Division of Responsibility Matrix.
  • (Sub)contractor and customer personnel as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    1. Gather and compile support data for the preparation of documents and the administration of (sub)contracts.
    2. Assist (Sub)Contract Manager or (Sub)Contract Administrators in completion of the various administrative tasks required by the Contract/Subcontract Management Manual; Standard Work Process Procedures and automated (sub)contract management systems.
    3. Monitor areas of (sub)contract performance, as assigned.
    4. Conduct investigations and inquiries into specific (sub)contracts problems, as assigned.
    5. Organize materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations and training sessions.
    6. Assist in the preparation of periodic status report
    7. Grade 22

      Receives frequent direction from supervisor and typically supports one or more (Sub)Contract Administrators with routine duties and closeout, may be assigned small-value service agreements.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Some basic knowledge of contract types, terms and legal requirements.

Some basic knowledge of law, negotiations, accounting or cost engineering gained through education or experience.

 

Requirements:

0 to 1 year of experience maximum.

Degree title of Business Adminsitration.
