Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the use of CAD and 3D model applications in projects. Support the engineering work process to produce 3D models and all associated deliverables. Must have knowledge of CAD, S3D applications, SQL databases and code programming, necessary for successful EPC projects.
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing CAD and BIM Application support in Projects, including daily work with users, application configurations and maintenance.
- Supporting the integration of BIM models both within the scope of infrastructure work and with other project delivery teams.
- Coordinating and interacting as directed with the daily technical work of project engineers, specialists, designers and draftsmen.
- Configuring S3D according to the project scopes, configuration of drawing styles and MTO, reports and system configuration to produce 3D models for the federated model of the project.
- Helping S3D and MicroStation designers to solve technical problems.
- Facilitating technical discussions with third parties (customer, suppliers, regulators).
- Providing training to project participants.
- Collaborating in the automation of processes to identify improvements in work processes.
- Must work integrated with other Bechtel teams.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, IT, Management, Systems or Computer Science and 2-4 years of experience working with CAD applications, 8 or more years of experience managing S3D and BIM projects.
- Experience in CAD/3D Model/BIM technology used in EPC Projects.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in medium to large mining projects and be able to provide input/Support to identify and implement engineering applications to maximize the benefits of the projects.
- Experience managing MicroStation, Smart 3D and Navisworks.
- Knowledge and experience applying the BIM methodology to EPC projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and operating systems, including system architectures, network infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery and storage policies and procedures, and disaster prevention and recovery planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of SQL/ORACLE/product skills, Intergraph SmartPlant suite (SPPID/SPEL/SPI/SPPID) desirable.
- Knowledge in tools of programación.Net , and programming languages.
- General engineering design and knowledge of the work process are considered useful.
- Knowledge and experience in support of CAD platforms, 3D systems, databases are essential.
- Knowledge and experience in AWP Methodology.
- Practical knowledge and competence with collaboration and data management solutions: Navisworks, Synchro.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and external vendors.
- Fluency in English.
