Mining and Metals:

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. Job Summary:

In this role, you will overall support to ensure the accreditation process for Bechtel employees is properly addressed, ensuring adherence to Bechtel and Industrial Relations policies and practices. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Executing Bechtel site accreditation process, ensuring adherence to Bechtel and Industrial Relations policies and practices.
  • Participating in Industrial Relations execution planning by contributing information about local accreditation, access control, and employee logistics to the Workforce Services Manager.
  • Liaising with other functions as required to achieve expedient accreditation for project personnel.
  • Maintaining current data in the accreditation database for all Bechtel accredited employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with all employee data privacy regulations.
  • Interfacing with Bechtel’s Environmental, Safety, and Health management regarding development and implementation of safety-related entry requirements on a construction project.
  • Reviewing and approving project accreditation requests from third parties/subcontractors/vendors
  • Reviewing policies and practices and recommending changes as needed, aiding in the implementation of process improvement initiatives with construction management.
  • Reviewing and approving project accreditation requests from third parties/subcontractors/vendors.
  • Coordinating requests for the purchase of airline tickets for project employees and following up on flight adjustments and schedule changes requested from the travel agency.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a Technical background or specialized training related with the position, and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accreditation or labor relations function on site.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A high level of personal integrity.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and control access process and systems in mining sites.
  • Previous experience related to the position and availability to work on rosters on remote sites.
