Accounts Payable Supervisor

Working as part of the BBS finance team and project team. The Agency Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for supporting finance & accounting activities for the INCO_MLP Project in Santiago.  The position will functionally report to the Financial Services Manager of M&M and operationally to the Project Accounting Manager.

Essential job duties include, among other items: Responsible for monitoring and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Agency AP processing team in Home Office and Field Office to ensure the workload is distributed appropriately within the group using metrics and other control tools. Responsible for the system integration and generate reports agreed with Client. Responsible for providing technical direction, training, coaching, and support to staff.  Reviews and audits work to verify for accuracy and conformance to Bechtel, departmental, and project guidelines and performance standards. Will be responsible for reviewing and resolving any system holds with the AP team per Bechtel procedures and standards. Will be called upon to assist with Bechtel AP scope as needed at the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Reviews and documents existing work processes, procedures, and business needs and make recommended improvements as applicable, in conjunction with Client’s representative. Provides input on assigned team members employee performance.  Responsible for championing and supporting a positive team atmosphere. Actively assists team members by resolving outstanding issues, monitoring communications for quality control, and escalating unresolved issues to higher management. Assist in developing training materials for the team as needed.

Other varied accounting duties as assigned by the Project Accounting Manager.


Basic Qualifications:

Must have legal right to live and work in Chile without sponsorship.

Bachelor Level Degree in Accounting/Finance or related filed

5 or more years of relevant accounting/finance work experience.
