Position Title: Training Manager – Human Resources

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Bechtel is seeking a Training Manager to join the National Project Management Organization (NPMO) based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The following is the summary of responsibilities to be performed.

 

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Determines, with the assistance of management personnel, the general training and development program requirements to comply with management and/or client directives.
  • Prepares initial budget estimate for training and development and submits it to the Project Manager or to the responsible functional training manager.
  • Develops, coordinates. and implements approved and budgeted training and development programs, including on the job training as well as on-site and off-site courses and programs
  • Develops or obtains training manuals and instructional aids and materials as required.
  • Conducts or supervises training courses and programs. Arranges for technical assistance as required.
  • Administers and monitors all training and development programs to ensure goals are attained, schedules are met, modifications are made as necessary and reporting requirements are observed.
  • Review curricula and progress to identify any new training needs that will require new courses to be designed and delivered to ensure overall program success
  • Ensures that a comprehensive training records system is established and maintained.
  • Supervises the activities of assigned personnel.
  • Conducts and reviews performance evaluations of assigned staff.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years prior Bechtel experience
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to conduct training courses using innovative classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids.
  • At least 10 years work experience as Training Manager, including training of outside organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present effective oral and written reports.
  • Skill in developing, coordinating, implementing and administering training programs.
  • Skill in personnel management and administration.
  • Arabic language skills an advantage.
  • Knowledge is normally acquired through:
  • A baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, Learning Management, or a related field from a recognized university and work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above

 

Grade 26 (additional requirements, in addition to the above)

  • Advanced degree (masters or higher) in Human Resources, Learning Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Prior experience interfacing with government entities
  • Experience working in multiple educational environments – Corporate, public or private universities
