Project Overview:
Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh.

Job Summary:
In this role, You will support in reviewing the contractors’ QMS related plans, ITPs, Quality Procedures and templates based on the project scope of work. You will review and determine applicable quality requirements, report new or revised regulatory requirements, monitor non-conforming conditions, and determine the effectiveness of corrective actions. Your recommendations will assist in the resolution of complex issues and mitigate performance risk.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and completes quality audit checklists and participates in quality audits of corporate/project quality program/plans including, as needed, pre-award assessments of potential suppliers and subcontractors.
- Reviews and monitors nonconforming conditions and associated corrective actions to ensure quality program effectiveness.
- Follows up on actions taken in response to audit findings to ensure adequacy of completed corrective actions.
- Reviews and reports on project associated quality-related procedures and manuals for conformance to project quality program/plan requirements.
- Drafts quality procedures for review, approval, and issuance in accordance with approved processes.
- Reviews and determines the sufficiency of project quality control inspection plans.
- Works with and/or leads root cause analysis in conjunction with other project or staff personnel to develop corrective action plans which assist in the resolution of complex issues.
- Provide ‘day to day’ support and advice to the project team regarding the implementation of the project quality requirements / management system arrangements.
- Provide input to Project agreed KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Review contractors’ submittals including quality manuals, procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, and audit schedules.
- Report weekly/monthly progress to Quality Manager.
- Reviews and reports on new or revised regulatory requirements and their impact on the established quality program.
- Reviews and determines the sufficiency of corporate/project quality control inspection plans.
- Maintains contact with designated client quality personnel to provide status, manage relationships, and execute applicable actions.
- Provides input into the development of standardized metrics and responds to engineering, construction, procurement, and others who request guidance on implementation of quality requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum experience: 2 years as a quality Specialist or an equivalent role in addition to a minimum of 5 years in other quality related roles.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, or operations or decommissioning practices sufficient to comprehend specified engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of the quality principles and their application to engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning.
- Knowledge of corrective action system application to eliminate nonconforming conditions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions that impact the quality program.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in English Language.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant computer and reporting applications, including but not limited to BIM 360, Power BI, Microsoft Office programs, and other related tools.
- Knowledge of Bechtel’s administrative practices (Preferred).
- A recognized degree and/or specialized courses in engineering, quality, or a specialized discipline.
- Practical work experience in engineering, environmental science, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, or business administration.
- ISO 9001 Certified for QMS Requirements / Awareness. (Required)
- ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor. (Preferred).
- Perform assessments of suppliers' and contractor’s processes, systems, and practices.
