Bechtel is seeking a Project Controls Professional to job the Riyadh, SA team. In the Project Controls Engineer role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professional across the globe to support Project Controls Team.

 

Project Overview:

 

Bechtel is engaged supporting the development, implementation and operation of the National Project Management Organization (NPMO) in Saudi Arabia. The NPMO, known as “Mashroat” in Arabic, will support Saudi government agencies to effectively deliver complex infrastructure projects, in line with Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” plan to modernize the kingdom’s administration.    The NPMO is being established with the aim of improving the government’s capital expenditure program, to enable government entities’ project management offices to develop and improve related policies and create a dynamic ecosystem to deliver efficient and effective projects with the greatest impact. 

We are currently seeking and Project Controls Engineer (PCE) that will support the Project Controls Managers in a variety of reporting and cost related activities.  The PCE supports project organizational and administrative activities, provides non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling support. Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for:

 

  • Prepare the Project Monthly Progress Report (inc gathering and coordinating the relevant input)
  • Prepare the Project Monthly Progress & Performance Dashboard (inc gathering and coordinating the relevant input)
  • Prepare the Project Monthly Presidents Operating Report (inc gathering and coordinating the relevant input)
  • Create and manage the Prior Approvals System (PAF) along with updating the register
  • Create and manage the Off-Project Work Authorizations (OPWA) along with updating the register
  • Prepare, manage and issue the Monthly Invoices
  • Maintain, update and control the Project Staffing Plan, plus Organization Chart
  • Support the Entity Enablement delivery group as directed by the PCM
  • Work with presentations and training workshops to enhance the delivery.
  • Participates in the development of presentations.
  • Support the Project Controls team with adhoc support for entity enablement activities during the operational phase.
  • Organize and control documents for signature, routing, coordinating and processing for issue.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • A recognized degree and/ specialized courses in engineering, quality or a related discipline.
  • Practical work experience in design engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, or business administration.
  • Five years of experience in the design of complex assemblies of injection molded parts on at least one electronics product or subsystem that successfully reached volume production.

 

Basic Behavioral:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project control functions.
  • Ability to extract, compile, and analyze non-technical and semi-technical data for complex reports.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in both English and Arabic.
  • Competent in full suite of Microsoft programs.
  • Positive can-do attitude, desire to learn.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
