Bechtel is seeking a Logistics Professional to join the Jubail, SA team. In the Logistics Specialist role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professional across the globe to support the Team.


The professional shall have to provide all related services in the domain of “Logistics” to enhance the clustering potential, maximizing Logistic Performance Index (LPI) in Royal Commission Cities thereby minimizing the Logistics cost for tenants and supporting Royal Commission to achieve excellence in comprehensive management of all related services that promote the “Overall Logistics Performance”, “Safety” and reliability in RC Cities.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Playing supportive roles in the Implementation of strategy in compliance with policies objectives, procedures and achieving goals and supporting in their evolutionary development as needed such that the Logistics clustering potential is maximized.
  • Oversees the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures and transition/migration plan and playing supportive roles in enhancing the overall city attractiveness and promotion the investments in Logistics and allied disciplines.


Budgeting and Control:


  • Assists in development and implementation of business plans while ensuring to work within defined budget parameters. Monitors costs and resources in day-to-day activities.
  • Playing supportive, assisting roles in making budgets.


Operational Tasks:


  • Liaises with various Divisions and Department in promoting and managing Logistics clusters and related business plan development opportunities/.
  • Performs supportive roles in making situation analysis to determine Logistics cluster opportunities and threats in the process of achieving clustering targets aimed at reducing the CAPEX and OPEX for the tenants with respect to Logistics.
  • Conduct the assessment of Logistics opportunities in the RC-Industrial Cities including comprehensive pipeline corridor management, warehousing, multimodal logistics (MML), shared tank services to promote and build out the Logistics cluster development programs.
  • Identifies and develop new business in alignment with the RC strategy with respect to Logistics that ensures a win-win situation for the logistics service providers and clients.
  • Analyzing the current situation of Logistics cluster opportunities (SWOT analysis) in RC-cities, finding out the missing cluster components and assisting the department in realizing the missing components that would further promote Logistics clustering in RC Cities thereby easing the process of “Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics” operation for the tenants in RC Cities.
  • Overseeing design, construction, inspection, operations and maintenance standards used in the utility corridors, warehouses, MML, components etc.
  • Identify and develop the expansion work in existing RC Industrial Cities and opportunities to establish new avenues to enhance LPI and to achieve the strategic objectives of the Royal Commission with respect to Logistics.
  • Analyze current roles played by stakeholders within Logistics clusters and review the potential stakeholders to play a role in executing action plans designed to mitigate risks and challenges within Logistics clusters.
  • Provide the needed specialist insight towards the development of action plans to address the identified challenges within existing Logistics clusters (such as manpower shortages, technological challenges) Propose to the Director potential stakeholders who can take action to rectify deviations, identify their roles, and develop action plans for proposal accordingly.
  • Review legal and regulatory compliance changes, coordinate with the concerned parties and develop reports detailing the expected impact with respect to enhancing Logistics clusters.
  • Coordinate with Logistics service providers and investors to obtain information regarding legal legislative and regulatory requirements and provide the Director with information accordingly.
  • Conduct research on current Logistics clusters performance and requirements, analyze findings and provide the necessary support with information needed for the development of future plans.
  • Provide necessary consultation during the implementation phase of the new operations plans, policies and procedures, which are in transition to ensure that they are consistent with the goals and objectives of the Royal Commission with respect to Logistics discipline.
  • Analyze the technological performance of Logistics clusters from a technical standpoint, compare with global best benchmarks and identify potential for synergies and prepare required reports.
  • Assist in other Logistics related works, special projects required by Royal Commission.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience Logistics projects. 
  • 8 Years of experience in the field of Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain operations.
  • Knowledge of Global Logistics industrial trends and their effect on economics within the region.
  • Extensive knowledge of API, ASME and OSHA standards is required.


 Basic Behavioral:


  • Time Management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using MS Office tools and dynamic reporting for presentations.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Competent knowledge in English (Spoken and Written)
  • Ability to provide strong, active leadership to adopt and enforce a consistent approach that nurtures a culture of creativity, innovation and empowerment.
