Bechtel is delivering a transformation program on behalf of, and in collaboration with, the Saudi National Project, Management Organization (NPMO). The NPMO (known locally as “Mashroat”) has the mandate to transform Saudi Government Entities (“Entities”) into more efficient and effective project management organizations, which in turn will result in improved project performance. Projects are defined as government funded and delivered infrastructure construction projects. Bechtel’s contract started in February 2017 and completes in February 2020 (but may be subject to an extension).


In 2017, Mashroat’s mandate increased to include transforming Entities into more efficient and effective Operations & Maintenance (O&M) management organizations. In June 2019, Bechtel’s scope expanded to include the management and coordination of Mashroat’s O&M partner. Bechtel’s management of Mashroat’s O&M partner requires additional resources across a number of departments.


Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a Graduate Engineer -Technical coordinator. A Graduate Engineer – Technical coordinator is responsible to work closely with Enablement Director and Project Managers to leads and helps delivering the goals of the team and to provide technical and engineering support to facilitate the daily functions and operations.

This is a full-time position within the Enablement Department and is based in Riyadh and will be part of the Bechtel graduate development program


Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing Engineering and Technical support to Enablement Director, Project Managers and Business leaders when requested.
  • Support in reviewing and updating current existing enablement processes, procedures and templates.
  • Developing and assisting in creating periodic technical and project management presentations.
  • Prepare or provide input to daily work planning.
  • Interface with technical and project management leads on behalf of the enablement Director
  • Complete the Technical and project management personal development training courses and on the job learning to gain the necessary technical and project management skills to grow within the company and the industry


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering from reputable university.
  • Up to three years of relevant professional work experience.


Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to review and analyses large datasets and prepare well written, comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound engineering and technical judgement.
  • Able to build sound working relationships at various levels with KSA entities.
  • Arabic speaking – would be highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to put in discretionary performance and work outside of comfort zone
