Job Description

  • Responsible for scheduling, and project management of assigned construction activities and installation of Doors/hardware
  • Responsible for coordinating the activities of multiple suppliers and contractors
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory, installation, security implementation, quality control, reporting, and training
  • Participates in the planning process
  • Establishes and monitors construction schedule
  • Performs on-site inspections to ensure standards are being met and construction is adhering to plans and specifications. Tracks and monitors construction progress
  • Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure that staff and subcontractor safety and labour standards are maintained
  • Ensure Quality Standards are met on workmanship and materials
  • Review and maintain all critical documentation, reporting any discrepancies or quality issues
  • Interface with Transit Systems
  • Prepare short term activity scheduling and monitor milestones



  • 10-15 years of experience in Supervisory capacity in Construction industry or installation of Doors/hardware.
  • Understanding of industry and corporate practices, codes, standards and procedures
  • Strong financial understanding of cost reporting, etc
  • Extensive computer knowledge, including Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint, Access) and internet.
  • Working knowledge of Construction and Project management tools and industry related software.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision- making skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Outstanding commitment to operational excellence
  • The ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle a heavy work-load
  • A problem solver adaptable to change
