Bechtel is seeking an Economic Professional to join the Jubail, SA team. In the Economic Planning Specialist role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professional across the globe to support the Team.


Job Responsibilities:


Job Duties:

  • Playing a key role in doing economic planning according to the strategic vision and objectives, cluster development, cluster management, optimization of resource utilization and other related services and ensuring successful implementation of corporate strategy.
  • Implementation of strategy in compliance with policies, objectives, procedures and achieving goals and supporting in their evolutionary development as needed.
  • Oversees the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures and transition migration plans.


Budgeting and Control:


  • Monitors costs and resources in day-to-day activities.
  • Holds responsibility for section’s staffing and budgeting projections.


Operational Tasks:


  • Develops detailed cluster requirements approach to facilitate the development of various clusters across the cities such that RC Cities attractiveness gets enhanced.
  • Conducts cluster development feasibility studies to use them as a basis for future cluster economic planning.
  • Identifies best industrial cluster concept and community concept (e.g. needed numbers/quality/types of community facilities: hospitals, schools, etc. to support/increase attractiveness along with revenue enhancement and parallel ensuring provision of high-quality services to the tenants at competitive price.
  • Coordinate with Investment Promotion to identify the organization target list and investment promotion objectives.
  • Identifies and plans optimal product and service portfolio for each business unit to maximize synergies and promote clustering such that CAPEX and OPEX for the tenants get reduced.
  • Provides the needed specialist insight during the implementation of new operations planes, policies, procedures and transition/migration plans while ensuring they are consistent with the overall goals and objectives of RC.
  • Undertakes or assists in special projects as needed and other related duties as assigned or directed.



Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Business Administration, Economics) or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience economic or business roles. 
  • 8 Years of experience in the field of Economic Planning.
  • Knowledge in conducting projects feasibility studies in the domains such as industrial, residential and commercial.
  • Strong industrial background in building cluster components. (Petrochemical, energy-intensive industries).


 Basic Behavioral:


  • Time Management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using MS Office tools and dynamic reporting for presentations.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Competent knowledge in English (Spoken and Written)
  • Ability to provide strong, active leadership to adopt and enforce a consistent approach that nurtures a culture of creativity, innovation and empowerment.
