Document Management System Manager

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Executes project activities in own specialized technical area of information systems, including application support, software engineering, software quality, business analysis or database administration. 
  2. Provides technical direction, development, training and mentoring to subordinate team members.
  3. Represents assigned discipline in information systems interface meetings and manages internal and external customers.
  4. Prepares recommendations and makes a major contribution to project and quality plans, cost benefit analyses and risk analyses, including plans incorporating sub-projects with significant medium to long-term effect on an area of the work in IS&T.
  • Recommends and implements the integration of future database/application systems across functional entities and business lines.
  • Implements cross-organization data interchange methods, consistent systems and technologies, new methods and techniques to improve information workflow, the corporate database security model, the corporate backup and recovery model, and the integration of future database/application systems across functional entities and business line by performing research, analysis and proof of concepts of vendor recommended system configurations.
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends new technologies and tools to improve current and future work processes to support strategic business initiatives and corporate standards.


Knowledge & Experience:


  • A College / University qualification in Information Management or a related subject;
  • Major projects experience
  • Minimum of 15 years’ practical document/information experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ department management experience.
  • Technical knowledge of document and content management systems.
  • Methodical and analytical approach to work; Ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentational skills.
  • Demonstrated team leadership skill.
  • Intellect and capacity to coach and mentor employees.
  • Expertise in latest Data Management Applications (software, databases….)
