Project Overview:
Contracts Manager (various roles) – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Bechtel is delivering some of the most ambitious infrastructure programs in Riyadh, supporting keystone and landmark developments that are reshaping the Kingdom’s built environment as part of Vision 2030.

The role offers exposure to complex PMC and integrated team environments, with the backing of a global organisation delivering major projects across 160+ countries as well as the opportunity to transition into roles across the region and the globe.
Job Summary:
As Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major infrastructure packages, with a primary focus on post-award contract administration.
You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of complex construction and consultancy contracts, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to manage risk, drive performance, and ensure robust commercial governance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration of major construction and consultancy contracts in accordance with contract terms, project procedures, and governance requirements
- Manage change, variation, and claims processes, including entitlement assessment, commercial evaluation, and negotiation support
- Provide commercial advice to project and construction teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk exposure
- Ensure effective contractual correspondence, notices, and documentation in line with contractual requirements and project controls
- Support development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with project objectives
- Interface with client, contractor, consultant, and internal stakeholders to drive timely commercial decisions and issue resolution
- Contribute to commercial reporting, forecasting, and governance processes
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution, coordinating with legal and project controls teams where required
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 12 years’ experience, with a preference for 15+ years’ industry experience
- MRICS or equivalent chartered status preferred
- Experience in the Middle East (particularly KSA/GCC) is highly advantageous
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven experience in contracts management / contract administration within the infrastructure, engineering, or construction sectors
- Strong track record working on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, ideally in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience in PMC, programme management, or integrated delivery teams
- Demonstrable expertise in post-award contract management, including change, claims, and commercial risk management
- Familiarity with FIDIC-based and bespoke contracting frameworks
