Project Overview:
Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of a state of the art international airport in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050, and the capacity to process up to 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050. Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals; Terminal 6 is a new build ‘low cost carrier’ – hyper efficient terminal with gross floor area of ≈450,000m2, capacity of 20mppa; Iconic Terminal is a new build ‘new concept’ terminal with gross floor area of ≈ 1M m2, capacity of 40 to 45 mppa, and Private Aviation Terminal and hangars for VIPs and business jet passengers.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist Contract professionals as designated in completion of routine duties, data gathering, document preparation, presentations, training sessions and closeout. You will prepare status reports, monitor areas of contract performance, and inquire on and investigate contract problems. Your work will contribute to efficient project execution and compliance with contractual obligations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports one or more Contract professionals with moderately routine duties.
- May be assigned small-value service agreement.
- Gathers and compiles support data for the preparation of documents and the management of contracts.
- Assists Contract professionals in completion of the various administrative tasks required by the Contract/Subcontract Management Guidebook, Standard Work Process Procedures, and automated subcontract management systems.
- Organizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations, and training sessions and prepares periodic status reports.
- Acts on own initiative on assigned contracts of increasing value and complexity. Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned.
- Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders.
- Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders.
- Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions.
- Prepares contract documents for execution.
- After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity and understanding of KSA government procurement law.
- Contract formation and administration experience.
- Ability to draft and/or revise contract T&Cs.
- Current/prior Middle East and/or international experience.
- Developed presentation skills.
- Flexibility in adjusting to workload and priorities.
