Project Overview:
Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex infrastructure projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on Dubai, Hamad, Muscat international airports, Jubail Industrial City, Riyadh Metro, Neom and Trojeana. As we consider the future of infrastructure globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are currently considering candidates with aviation, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure projects experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh.
Job Summary:
Administers moderately complex to complex contracts and agreements. Maintains a continuous review of the progress of each contract and or agreement and provides management with information regarding any commercial difficulties. Prepares correspondence, trackers, minutes, presentations, variation orders, and amendments, in addition to other necessary documents and gains management approval on the same. Additionally, performs other duties as assigned.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports one or more Subcontract professionals with moderately routine duties and closeout
- May be assigned small-value service agreements
- Gathers and compiles support data for the preparation of documents and the management of subcontracts
- Assists Subcontract Manager or Subcontract Professional in completion of the various tasks required by the Contract/Subcontract Management Guidebook, Standard Work Process Procedures, and automated subcontract management systems
- Monitors areas of subcontract performance, as assigned
- Conducts investigations and inquiries into specific subcontracts problems, as assigned
- Organizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations, and training sessions and prepares periodic status reports
- Works with Digital Supply Chain and other Automation Tools
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of contracting regulations, policies, and practices.
- Specialized courses or experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations, and accounting.
- Experience Middle East / Saudi Arabia.
- English and Arabic Language.
- Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law or Engineering.
- Contract formation and or claims experience.
- Ability to draft and or revise T&Cs.
- Experience in lump sum, unit price and cost-plus type contracts.
- Experience in construction, design, services, and O&M forms of contracts.
- Presentation skills
- Comfortable interacting in a multi-national team environment.
