Project Overview:

Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

 

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

 

Telework Designation: Full-Time In Office: This position is a full-time role located in the Richland, Washington project office, and works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.

Job Summary:

The Training Coordinator reports to the Training Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating project-wide programmatic training programs. The Training Coordinator will participate in the implementation of the Quality Learning Management programs and processes in a staff or project role. The Training Coordinator will develop, schedule, and monitor training activities and perform Learning Management System (LMS) administration. #LI-EH1 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the weekly onboarding process for new hires, including establishing profiles in the LMS, scheduling for the appropriate onboarding training and presenters, and supporting delivery of onboarding training.
  • Assists with the design and development of  training in support of a project and/or facility operations and administers the training in accordance with a systematic approach to training.
  • Monitoring and responding to routine training inbox inquiries.
  • Performs the following LMS administrative tasks:
    • Activating, inactivating, and updating of employee profiles
    • Recording learning completions for instructor-led classes
    • Conducting routine audits of LMS entries
    • Troubleshooting user and course issues
  • Assists in researching and resolving training management system functionality issues and ensures all training events are captured into the training management system.
  • Review and maintain documentation and various database entries for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with the maintenance or providing of training materials as required.
  • Support corrective action management responsibilities, ensuring appropriate action plans are created, closure statements are adequate, and resolutions are effective.
  • Assists in organizing, writing, and producing programmatic documentation, technical data, guidelines, and job aids.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Required a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience​

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
  • Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries—are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access.
  • Previous experience with SAP SuccessFactors LMS administration or a similar learning management system.
  • Ability to use a computer and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written).
  • Possess reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to learn and retain simple to complex information. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize with minimal supervision.
