- Salary Range: $67,860- $103,490 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.).

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.
Position Summary:
This position reports to the Requirements Infrastructure & Project Training Manager and is responsible for supporting the Project-wide institutional programs that govern implementation of a document hierarchy. This position is responsible for supporting project-wide, baseline standards, and practices for requirements hierarchy (policies, management directions, program descriptions, procedures, and guides). The incumbent will ensure documents implement industry/nuclear best practices, are human factored, and provide alignment with the requirements management process.Positions located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) work a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other work locations may work a 9-80’s schedule, M-F 7:00 am to 4:30 pm with alternating Fridays off. Please be advised that the 9/80 schedule designation of the position may be changed in the future at the discretion of the company or project.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of a graded improvement strategy for the suite of project procedures.
- Update policies, management directions, program descriptions, procedures, and guides according to project baseline standards.
- Provide support and coordination to Senior Project Procedures staff and line functional personnel in the preparation, development, and writing of primarily new or revised policies, management directions, procedures, or guides in adherence to established standards.
- Participate in the procedure change processes and procedure change request processes as directed.
- Interface with requirements area managers and [WM1] procedures groups.
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, procurement, construction, or other related discipline from an accredited university and 1 year of work related experience or in lieu of a degree, 7 years of progressively responsible work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a broad knowledge of procedure development skills that may be specific to or across various disciplines of administrative policies, engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and/or operations
- A demonstrated understanding of procedure quality principles and human factoring experience
- Working understanding of systematic approach to training requirements and methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel
- Ability to express ideas in writing, read, and interpret [WM2] requirements
- Ability to coordinate multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to successfully serve as a team leader based upon proven leadership skills and abilities
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
- Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Visio, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives
- Past experience on WTP, DOE, or commercial nuclear projects
