Project Overview:

Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

 

Job Summary:

Performs duties critical to the management and administration of processes related to P6/Cobra/Empower system maintenance and integration. Responsible for the configuration management of the P6 databases and processing toolset. Provides analysis and innovative solutions to non-standard requests, collaborates with the EVMS team to ensure alignment with EVMS requirements and provides subsequent guidance to the P6 user community.

Part-Time Telework:

This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland, Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office, then may offer part-time telework flexibility. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.

Please be advised that the telework designation of the position may be changed in the future at the discretion of the company or project.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the administration and maintenance of the Empower software and associated databases and processes
  • Become Empower Super User and tech support
  • Implement data management, quality, and control process to ensure EVMS schedule compliance
  • Implement baseline change control, weekly forecast maintenance and month-end close processes in P6 Perform ad-hoc processes and database queries to support reporting requirements
  • Provide end-user application and process training 
  • Backup for the administration and maintenance of the P6 scheduling software and associated databases and processes
  • Interfaces with IS&T to ensure database configuration management requirements are maintained and performs database testing as needed after software/hardware updates
  • Performs functionality testing, data validation, and add-on tool development and testing as required; coordinates and deploys software updates as required
  • Conducts project schedule analysis and provides recommendations to ensure schedule/cost integration and compliance

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six (6) years of professional experience.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
  • Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Working knowledge of Empower application
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 application
  • Advanced level of proficiency in using PC operating systems and demonstrated technical competence in Excel
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines, work extended hours as needed, and perform with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Proficiency in administering Primavera P6 schedule application preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL and SSRS preferred
  • Working knowledge of Cobra application Previous EVMS data compliance experience preferred
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent Project and user requests and shifting priorities preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and providing recommendation and/or corrective action preferred
