Job Summary:

In this role, you will handle project labor relations activities, leading complex employee relations investigations, and resolving employee disputes including work stoppages. You will interpret contracts, enforce work rules, and participate in negotiations. Your work will facilitate positive labor relations on the construction project, minimizing problems that may lead to work stoppages and schedule delays. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes activities to support the Global Workforce Services Global Operations Manager
  • Interprets strategy and assists in development of implementation plans to deliver strategy across the organisation in support of the Global Operations Manager
  • Gathers internal and external data and general research to support Workforce Services Global Operations
  • Supports the function to draft presentations and papers
  • Administers Global Workforce Services Landing page and Workforce Services Sharepoint resources
  • Liaises internally with Regional Workforce Services Managers and Construction Function to deploy the Workforce Services strategy
  • Assists in the development and deployment of Workforce Services Professional training
  • Assists with the development and administration of the annual Workforce Services Leadership Conference
  • Liaises with legal in support of the Global Operations Manager to identify and implement changes to labour law and/or employment issues 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in a major project, direct hire, construction environment covering, recruitment, mobilization, performance management, attraction and retention
  • High levels of skill in production and delivery of presentations and papers
  • Ability to communicate at a high level verbally and through written work
  • Ability to form firm relationships with key stakeholders and influence without authority
  • Knowledge of current labor law and associated legislation and regulation
