Job Summary:

Administers the supplier relationship at the GBU level to support organizing and coordinating joint relationship meetings, documenting actions and achievements, maintaining engagement plans / records, and providing updates to Bechtel management.  Plans and monitors GBU and sector needs and utilization of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure relationships are established and maintained.  Engages with new and existing suppliers and subcontractors to understand their structure, capabilities, capacities, and technologies to find the best opportunities / projects for mutually beneficial engagements. Responsible for the development, production, and delivery of proposals, presentations, sourcing strategies, and other supplier development-related projects.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.#LI-JL1 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Engages with sector management and project managers to expand supplier relationships and execution strategies.
  • Develops and maintains Supplier or Contractor Engagement Plans.
  • Active user on Dynamics platform.
  • Represents Bechtel in supplier forums and other engagements.
  • Expand culture of supplier relationships and project engagement with targeted suppliers.
  • Develops an operational plan to ensure coverage of supplier relationships at the business line and regional levels.
  • Manages the internal supplier review and screening process for key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborates with GBU Functional Management and Corporate Supplier Relationship Management to create and implement strategic plans.
  • Identify, establish, maintain, and leverage transactional, relational, and strategic relationships.
  • Develop and maintain clear channels of communication with suppliers.
  • Coordinate meetings and formal discussions and document the results.
  • Update senior management on significant developments or issues.
  • Maintain the Dynamics platform with information as required for supplier.
  • Facilitate GBU objectives through relationship management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work without structured guidelines.
  • Demonstrated skill in management and supervisory functions.
  • Thorough understanding of formal proposal preparation processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and EPC execution.
  • Thorough knowledge of Bechtel directives and management instructions related to bid-evaluate-award and administration processes.
  • Experienced in developing qualification documents, contracts, and customer presentations.
  • Experienced in working with project management in respect of prospects to align with supplier utilization.
