Job Summary:

Supports the NS&E cost control teams in reporting project progress and performance.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with Bechtel management and client counterparts for cost presentations.
  • Prepares and presents cost engineering information.
  • Coordinates the development, multi-discipline inputs, checking, reviews, and approvals of the Project Financial Status Reports (PFSR) and related financial processes, as needed.
  • Coordinates information input into studies. Evaluates study results and recommends conclusions for consideration.
  • Reviews and analyzes comparisons of scope, quantities, performance, and cost data.
  • Creates and implements measurement systems for established processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies improvements.
  • Identifies trends and supports the change control programs.
  • Develops timely and competent trend cost estimates.
  • Establishes format and content of summaries and reconciliations, including segregation of cost according to level of confidence and identified areas of risk.
  • Performs data analysis, identifies issues, and makes recommendations.
  • Develops productivity basis to be utilized in estimates, as developed in concurrence with Construction.
  • Supports cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards accuracy and consistency.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check that includes verification of employment, education, and travel.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present cost engineering and cost estimating products with minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel data analysis functions.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency with cost processor and scheduling software (e.g., EcoSys, P6, etc.)
  • Experience with change management such as baseline change proposals and trending.
